Sustainable Development GARMENT DYEING

Dyeing and washing processes using traditional methods waste a lot of water. The textile industry is known to be responsible for 20% of global water pollution.

The CO2 emissions of the textile industry are equivalent to those of the aviation industry. This makes the textile sector the second sector to pollute the world after the oil industry.

As Merkoteks, we use the latest technologies to reduce our carbon footprint. We try to act in accordance with sustainable production goals at all stages from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing processes.

We have combined our power with nature; All the energy we use comes from renewable energy sources. At the same time, we complete our processes by using 40% less energy in washing and dyeing compared to traditional garment dyeing processes.

Our factory is a facility that can recover 85% of the water used in production. Thanks to the latest technologies we use, we can wash 1 kilo product with 4 liters of water.

Thanks to water recovery, this has been reduced to about 1 ½ liters. This ratio is equivalent to about 1 glass of water per product.

To date, the monthly capacity of our Merkoteks-Garment Dye has reached 100 tons (250,000 units).

With the help of our team of professionals, we can apply a variety of garment dye techniques to achieve the desired results.

Our regular processes include:

  • Direct and reactive dyeing
  • Pigment dyeing
  • Antique dyeing
  • Natural dyeing from natural minerals
  • Batik Dye

100% Natural Chemicals PERFECT EFFECTS

All of our dyes are 100% organic, ZDHC MRSL Conformance Level 3 certified and natural chemicals. (ZDHC MRSL Conformance Level 3 - the highest level in the current program - indicates that Eco Passport-certified chemicals meet ZDHC guidelines for safer textile chemicals, which are also certified as responsibly produced).

Thanks to the machine tools developed by our engineers for elastic (lycra) products, it is also possible to obtain similar values in the garment dye process as in the dyed fabric process, and to produce products without lycra deformation.

Merkoteks continues its path by taking care of the future and nature. We work continuously to manufacture products of the desired quality of our customers. In doing so, we take care to treat nature with respect.

LABORATORY

With Eliar's automatic dosing system, the weighing, distribution, and organization processes of all our chemicals are automatic, without human intervention. Thanks to this system, garment dye processes are more economical in chemical consumption and at the same time extremely safe for human health since the chemicals are used by the employees without touching them.

In our research and development laboratory, the desired settings are tested, recorded, and then integrated into the fully automatic system to ensure the repeatability of each recipe.
